In April 2012, OSC will be offering a repeat of its very successful College Counselling Course. The course will be held at one of the colleges that are part of Oxford University - alongside our Spring IB Revision Courses and IBSCA Teacher Workshops. Apply here.

Here is what you can expect from the College Counselling Course:

The course will be delivered again by Gwen Martinez, a very experienced College Counsellor who teaches our University Applications Course in the US. Delegates may register for 2 or for 2.5 days. The two-day course is planned for 11th-12th April 2012. It will start at 11:00 on Wednesday 11th and finish at 16:00 on Thursday 12th.

The 2.5-day course starts at 13:00 on Tuesday 10th with afternoon sessions on Applying to UK universities and then leads into the two-day course on Applying to US universities.

Applications will also be taken for only the Applying to UK universities section of the course.

The precise content of the two-day course will be tailored to the needs of the group, but, as an example, the following issues were addressed during previous courses:

  • Advanced Standing Qualification

Items scheduled for the UK universities section of the course include:

  • the UCAS Application System
  • a session from the Oxford University Admissions Team
