IB Pre Summer School Class We will be running the popular US OSC Pre-IB Summer School for the 16th year in 2010. This course is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts just across the Charles River from downtown Boston at one of the most prestigious insititutions in the world.

The OSC Pre-IB courses are carefully designed from the combined academic knowledge of the four ex-IB teachers we have on our full-time staff and our 20 years experience of offering courses for International Baccalaureate students.

Here is what you can expect from the US OSC Pre-IB Summer School:

3 week course designed specifically for students who are about to start their IB Diploma in the following school term
Course Orientation providing students with an overview of the IB Diploma and how the OSC Pre-IB Summer School will prepare them for it
highly experienced IB teachers from excellent IB schools, many of whom are examiners
dedicated team of Deans providing exciting and varied activities in the afternoons and evenings
focused academic programme covering core IB subjects designed to help students reach the required entry level for their IB Diploma
afternoon extension programme of IB focused cultural and enrichment activities.
at least 52.5 hours of class time
customised programme; adjusted to the student's needs - see 'Creating your programme' below.
optional extra classes and Careers Consultation designed to support your IB studies
2 hours reviewed homework every night
small groups (normally 8 - 10 per group)
afternoon /evening study groups
reports written for all core module classes

Creating your programme

The OSC Pre-IB Summer School has four elements from which you can customise a summer school programme unique to you:

1	Core modules that cover the most fundamental aspects of the IB Diploma
2	Optional extra classes that will support your studies
3	Careers and college advice options during the 3 week course and the option of adding on the University Tour in the UK.
4	A fantastic social programme led by our team of Deans plus your own free time to explore and have fun with friends.
