Spanish B Revision Guide

The Spanish B programme is explained fully throughout this Revision Guide with particular reference to Paper 1 (Text Handling), Paper 2 (Written Production) and the Internal Assessment, helping you to deal with every aspect of the examination. Whichever grade you are aiming for, the guide will help you feel more confident and prepared for the exams.

Throughout the guide, there are plenty of texts and practice exercises to help you understand what the examiner is looking for. All example questions are written to resemble IB questions and all the model Paper 2 assignments are based on the author's own students' answers to real IB past paper questions.

Individual Oral

The authors also understand how an Individual Oral can be a very stressful aspect of any language, so they have shared some of their students' Individual Orals through the links below. The examples will give you a very clear idea on preparation and what questions to expect. Chapter 3 of the guide offers the full transcripts of the Individual Orals, showing good structures and the vocabulary used as well as the authors' comments on what should and what shouldn't be included.

Authors

Helena Matthews has taught Spanish at The Godolphin & Latymer School, London, for over 6 years. She teaches beginners, GCSE, A Level as well as IB students and is also Deputy Head of the Sixth Form. She graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2002 and completed her PGCE at the Institute of Education, London. She is an IB examiner for Spanish and she has taught on our intensive OSC Spring Revision Courses.

Thania Moreno Troya has taught Spanish at The Godolphin & Latymer School, London, for over 4 years. Prior to this, she taught Spanish at Guildford High School for Girls, and both English and Spanish in Spain. She teaches beginners, GCSE, A Level as well as IB students and is Deputy Head of the Middle School. She graduated from the Universidad de La Laguna in 2002 and compleetd her teaching qualification (CAP) at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
