Summer School Student

IB Mid Summer School The summer vacation is the time to consolidate your learning and prepare for the year ahead. For the 22nd year Oxford Study Courses will hold its UK Mid IBDP Summer Courses for students half way through their International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma.

We will be back at Cambridge University and also at Oxford University in the UK, giving another generation of IBDP students a unique opportunity to sample the way of life enjoyed by students at these prestigious universities.

What to expect from the OSC Mid IBDP Summer Courses in Cambridge and Oxford, UK:

residential courses in Emmanuel College, part of Cambridge University, AND in Queen's College, part of Oxford University
highly experienced IBDP teachers from excellent IBDP schools, many of whom are examiners
a dedicated course team providing exciting and varied activities in the afternoons and evenings
a focused academic course covering core IB subjects
you study each IBDP subject for one week and you can take up to five subjects
at least 17.5 hours of class time per subject
1 - 2 hours of homework every night
small groups (normally 8-10 per group)
a customised programme adjusted to suit your needs - see 'Creating your programme' below
written reports for all subject classes and consultations
optional extra classes and/or individual consultations designed to support your IBDP studies and your progress to university
increased confidence, new friends and experience of university life!

Creating your Course

The OSC Mid IBDP Summer Courses are made up of five elements: your main weekly subject, plus any or all of four optional extras.

1	Choose your subject(s) Use the subject table to select the subjects you want to review and which dates you want to attend. Remember: each IBDP subject lasts one week, so you can take up to five subjects.
2	Choose whether to spend your afternoons on our extra classes or Sports or Explorer programmes
3	Choose any optional extra one-to-one advice sessions
4	Sign-up to any of the organised weekend trips
5	Sign-up for the University Tour
