IBDP Mid Summer School The summer vacation is the time to consolidate your learning and prepare for the year ahead. For 2012, Oxford Study Courses (OSC) is bringing its intensive Mid IBDP Summer Courses to Vancouver, Canada.

From the 8th to the 21st of July 2012, students half way through the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma can join the OSC Mid IBDP Summer Courses at the University of British Columbia.

2012 IB World Student Conference

What to expect from the OSC Mid IBDP Summer Courses in Vancouver:

A focused academic programme covering the main IB subjects.
You can take up to four subjects; one in the mornings and one in the afternoons of each of the two weeks.
Highly experienced IB teachers from excellent IB schools, many of whom are examiners.
At least 15 hours of class time per subject.
Access to optional extras such as a Careers Consultation or Extended Essay advice designed to support your IB studies.
1 - 2 hours of reviewed homework every night.
Small groups (normally 8 - 10 per group).
Academic reports written for all subject classes and any optional extras taken.
The option to take our Canada & USA University Applications Course free of charge over the weekend of the 14th and 15th July 2012.
The opportunity to speak with admissions officers at UBC and take a guided tour of their superb facilities
Opt for one of our cultural, environmental or sports Explorer programmes in the afternoons instead of taking another IB subject.
A dedicated course team providing exciting and varied activities in the afternoons and on the weekends.
A residential course in a beautiful and stimulating university environment.

Creating your programme

The OSC Mid IBDP Summer Courses have four elements from which you can customise a programme unique to you:

1	Choose your subject(s) Use the Subject Table to select the subjects you want to review and which dates you want to attend. Remember: each subject lasts for one week. You can choose one subject for your morning class and one for your afternoon class. For an intensive study experience, you can take four subjects over two-weeks. Students should be aware that due to the intensive nature of our Courses in Vancouver, students taking a Science subject will concentrate on the core syllabus material only. Students taking the Higher Level of their Science subject will have the opportunity to address the extension material through additional assigned homework.
2	Choose an Afternoon Explorer programme. All students will have classes in the morning. However, those students who do not opt to take a class in the afternoons are required to participate in one of our Explorer programmes. These programmes provide an opportunity to experience Vancouver's cultural sites, learn about environmental sustainability, or stay active through sports activities.
3	Choose any optional extra Careers and College advice options
